The Preschool Scholars program introduces children to the foundational structure of early elementary education. While free play is an important part of our day, teacher-guided lessons are also incorporated to foster critical thinking, confidence, and active exploration. We design intentional learning experiences that inspire curiosity and discovery, following an emergent curriculum that responds to student interests.
Our classroom is designed with play-based learning in mind, featuring various stations that support hands-on exploration. Lessons and activities are organized around biweekly educational themes based on student interests. Our curriculum not only aligns with but exceeds government standards, covering the following key areas of learning:

Sensory development supports language growth, cognitive skills, motor coordination, problem-solving, and social interaction, while also improving memory. Sensory play helps build nerve connections in the brain, laying the foundation for more complex learning tasks. Through activities like the sand and water table, students engage their senses and explore concepts such as volume, motion, and floating versus sinking. These experiences not only introduce early scientific thinking but also encourage creativity, language development, and social interaction.
At Preschool Scholars, developing fine and gross motor skills is a key focus, helping children enhance both small and large muscle groups through structured activities. Children engage in tasks such as using tweezers, setting tables, writing, cutting with safety scissors, playing musical instruments, and fastening zippers and buttons to improve their coordination, balance, strength, and independence. Our curriculum is designed to refine their pincer grip, build finger strength, and foster overall body control, which are essential for daily tasks and self-care.
In addition to fine motor activities, indoor gross motor development is promoted through exercises like balance beam walking, indoor obstacle courses, dancing, yoga, and group games that involve jumping, hopping, and skipping. These indoor activities help children build core strength, coordination, and spatial awareness, all while having fun in a structured environment that encourages both teamwork and individual achievement.
At Preschool Scholars, our early numeracy program engages children in foundational mathematical concepts through hands-on activities and playful exploration. Students develop their understanding of numbers by practicing counting both forwards and backwards up to 20 and beyond. They are introduced to comparing quantities, recognizing and creating patterns, sorting objects, and solving simple problems.
Additionally, we focus on spatial awareness, measurement, and the basics of geometry to help students understand shapes and space. Math concepts are seamlessly integrated into daily classroom routines, fostering a natural and enjoyable connection between numbers and the world around them.
Our early literacy program nurtures a love for language and equips children with key pre-reading and communication skills. Students will learn to recognize letters, understand letter sounds and phonemes, and develop the ability to read sight words and short sentences, creating a solid foundation for early reading. They will also practice printing their names, identifying colors, and building vocabulary through various activities. Storytelling, group discussions, and imaginative play encourage children to express their thoughts and interact with peers, fostering both creativity and language development.
The science curriculum at Preschool Scholars encourages children to explore their natural environment and develop problem-solving skills. By engaging in frequent hands-on experiments and projects, students will learn to ask questions about the world around them—whether it's understanding why the sky is blue or exploring the physics behind rainbows. These experiments are regularly integrated into our program, providing children with ongoing opportunities to discover and investigate. Early exposure to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts at Preschool Scholars enhances critical thinking skills and fosters a lifelong interest in scientific exploration.
Through social studies, students will begin to understand their place within their families, classrooms, and communities. By learning about different traditions and cultures through stories, books, and guest visitors, children will develop an appreciation for diversity. Social interactions in the classroom help build early friendships and foster a sense of belonging.
In the global citizenship and identity component, students will explore their relationships with others and their place in the broader world. They will develop a strong sense of identity and belonging while learning about diverse cultures through music, art, and storytelling. Respect for diverse beliefs and traditions is emphasized as part of their growing awareness of global citizenship.
Students are guided in developing social responsibility and learning classroom rules and routines. Emphasis is placed on being respectful, caring, and responsible for one’s actions, helping children build positive behaviors and social interactions. Teachers model positive behaviors, supporting students in making friends, taking turns, and understanding the importance of cooperation and mutual respect.
Creativity is encouraged through open-ended activities that allow students to express themselves using various materials and methods. Activities such as dance, movement, yoga, and dramatic play foster self-awareness, imagination, and self-confidence. These experiences help students develop a sense of individuality and artistic expression, contributing to their overall emotional and social development.
The Preschool Scholars curriculum is a comprehensive program that nurtures each child’s academic, social, and personal growth, preparing them for future success both in school and in life.
Our preschool is lovingly dedicated to the memory of Renu Rajput, whose passion for nurturing and educating young minds continues to inspire us every day. Renu believed that every child deserves to be loved, encouraged, and given the tools to thrive. We honour her legacy by creating a warm and supportive environment where children can flourish. Her dream lives on in every lesson, every smile, and every step our students take toward a bright future.
We are now welcoming registrations for both this academic year and September 2025.
